Arsenal are set to unveil a statue of Arsene Wenger to mark the 20th anniversary of their unbeaten Premier League title.
Arsenal have been working on a bronze statue of Wenger for some time now. It hopes to be completed in time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the 2003/04 season’s unbeaten Premier League title.
Wenger had a very successful spell at the Gunners between 1996 and 2018. With his key honours being the Double in 1997/98 and 2001/02 and going unbeaten in 2003/04 UFABET
Since leaving the role in 2018. Wenger has chosen to stay out of the club. And recently returned to the Emirates Stadium for the first time in the game Arsenal met West Ham last season.
The Gunners will unveil the former Frenchman’s statue on August 3. While the official unveiling ceremony will be held privately and only Wenger and his family. Including the Invincibles will be in attendance.
Wenger’s statue will be the fifth outside the Emirates Stadium after Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Tony Adams and Herbert Chapman. The latter of which was a former coach in the hundred years ago.
Simply put it was the pioneer of Arsenal’s success and without this great man. Arsenal Football Club might not be the legendary giants it is today. The club won the English top flight for the first time in the 1930-31 season. Before winning again in the 1932-33 season, followed by 1933-34. But during that season Herbert Chapman died of Pneumonia disease.
